“BOYHOOD”

“BOYHOOD” - a photo series by Zane Qureshi, focused on capturing the essence of men yearning to reconnect with their inner child

We’ve matured so quickly, and in our twenties, there’s a longing to relive those simple joys of childhood—watching Ben 10 or Cartoon Network, flying kites, blowing bubbles, playing with toys or riding bikes.

When was the last time you went to the zoo or watched your favourite childhood show? It’s interesting how we often overlook it, but moments like playing Mario Kart with a best friend or flying a kite as a child could be our last.

Today’s boys and girls seem to be growing up faster than we did, and it’s eye-opening. I see young girls walking around with Mecca bags and wearing full makeup, while young boys who once played soccer or were fascinated by dinosaurs are now focused on fitness and wearing designer clothes or vaping.

This concept was developed from my own experiences and executed last month with my friends. Thank you to everyone who modelled and assisted me in bringing this vision to life.
